Instant Dogma Productions and Loose Salute are proud to announce a once-in-a-lifetime, soon-to-be-annual event: The Wormtown Hoedown and Review. This extravaganza will be taking place at The Raven Music Hall (258 Pleasant St, Worcester, MA) on June 11, starting at 9:00pm.

Featured first on this bill, fresh from his residency at Nick’s, James Keyes will be performing ~ with Percussionist Al Polese ~ material from his recent release Ruminations. For those who’ve only seen his appearances with The Numbskulls, get ready for a little something different: Jim’s solo shows reveal a gritty, earnest folk/country side delivered with a funky southern gothic vibe.

Second on the bill is Haverhill’s The New Highway Hymnal, with their unique psychedelic Americana. No strangers to The Raven, The NHH have recently amazed folks with their swampy sound and trippy material. They will be playing songs from their upcoming EP, Songs (from the New Highway Hymnal.) This is the band to see so you can say you “saw them when.” They won’t be unknown around here for long.

Fans of Worcester’s historic music scene know Bob Jordan. That’s just a fact. And if they were paying attention, they’ve already picked up on Bob’s most recent album, The Country That Never Was, a crisp collection of country rockers that garnered positive reviews and kudos all around. Word on the street is that Bob has been back in the studio recording his brand of eclectic Garage and Western songs and will be bringing his band to The Wormtown Hoedown for a sneak preview of his upcoming disc. But there’s only one way to find out ~ be there!

Last but not least, Loose Salute, fresh from supporting Peter Tork and Mickey Dolenz, will be bringing the spirit of Mike Nesmith back to Worcester. The fellers have been in the studio wrapping up a soon-to-be released album and breaking in new guitarist extraordinaire Rick Sparrow. As always, they will be playing great Nez classics, originals, some select Monkees stuff and songs from America’s great tunesmiths.

The details? Admission is $5 and this is a 21+ (with ID) show. We’ll also be giving away five copies of the [very] limited addition CD compilation “Wormtown Hoedown, an Audio Preview” that is not for sale anywhere. And trust me, it’s going to be a collectors’ item.

See you there!
