style-lead-mamatierra-cour-copyWhen you find your niche in life, you embrace it with all of your might. And that’s exactly what Evan Wondolowski did. He created an art movement that’s about to take the fashion industry by storm!

Mozaiks brought originality to the fashion table this past fall when they launched their 2010 clothing line. And this is not your typical T-shirt collection; visual artists from around the world are responsible for designing these wearable masterpieces. “Each artist creates their own collections and makes work that reflects their own personality. The work ranges from colorful graphic design to conceptual illustration to sketchbook drawing as well as figure paintings,” says Evan.  And the fall 2010 collection is just a taste of what’s to come.

The whole concept of this young company is intriguing, as are Evan’s thoughts on the fashion industry. He’s trying to reshape branding by encouraging artistic freedom. “Wearing logos on your chest turns you into a walking advertisement,” says Evan.  It’s that statement that gave birth to the company’s motto, “Wear art, not advertising,” which is fitting in more ways than one.

If you like what you see and you‘re interested in purchasing, surf your way over to www.ElevatedThoughtProductions.com. There you will find the Mozaiks collection and a world of art at your fingertips ~ from custom made murals to one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture and everything in between.…

And what’s the story with this 23 year old entrepreneur who has a knack for art and business? When we interviewed Evan back in 2008 as one of our January “People to Watch,” he was still in college and running a T-shirt company out of his apartment. Since then, he’s graduated with a BFA from UMass Dartmouth ~ and as for that original T-shirt company, “We just kind of ran with it for a while and then took a step back and rethought our concept of what a clothing company should be. That’s when we invented Mozaiks,” explains Evan, rightfully proud of the concept and his plans for its future.

style-lead-pic-of-evan-copyEvan’s got a lot on his plate these days. In addition to Mozaiks, he’s been juggling many other artistic projects in between. So if you’re an artist, keep your eyes glued to Craigslist; Evan’s always looking for new talent, whether near or far.

Mozaiks’ array of artistry is just one of the many unique elements that sets it apart from cookie-cutter clothing sites and stores. Whether you prefer abstract or contemporary designs, you’ll find them ~ creatively presented ~ in the Mozaiks line. So, stop wearing expensive clothing that costs and arm and a leg. Support your local artists and “Wear Art” instead!
