june-pulsecocks-ole-moonsh-copy2“We are a family owned business and take pride in being American made. Our century old moonshine recipe is born in the fertile soil of East Tennessee farms where our corn is raised and transported to our family’s mill to be ground for Tennessee’s first legal moonshine. Our families have been here for generations and Ole Smoky is a tribute to our heritage,” says co-founder Tony Breeden. “We are thrilled to be signing new business and expanding our reach across America.”

Ole Smoky Moonshine has recently garnered national attention from the Wall Street Journal, among other top media outlets. The entertainment industry has also taken notice and celebrity fans include Seth Meyers and Jason Sudeikis, to name a few.

When the state of Tennessee changed its laws in July 2009, allowing the licensed production of whiskey and other spirits across new counties, a group of local families saw an opportunity to showcase the art of superior, mountain-made moonshine. Ole Smoky Moonshine, the first-ever legal moonshine in Tennessee, is a line of authentic products made from family recipes passed down through generations by inhabitants of the Great Smoky Mountains region of Appalachia.

Packaged in traditional Mason jars, Ole Smoky flagship products include Original Unaged Corn Whiskey (100 proof “sippin’ moonshine”), White Lightnin’ (100 proof “mixin’ moonshine”), Apple Pie Moonshine (just like grandma’s apple pie) and Moonshine Cherries (fresh maraschino cherries soaked in 100-proof moonshine).
